Junk Kouture All Ireland Finalists 2018

One of our designs by Transition year students Hollie Hanevy and Amina Ward made it to the grand final of the 2018 Junk Kouture Fashion Competition. Out of 4,800 entries nationwide they were selected from the semi finals down to the last 80 entries for the final in the 3arena on April the 19th 2018. The Junk Kouture Fashion competition is hugely popular in schools all around the country and involves students working individually or in groups of 3 on a piece of Couture fashion designed entirely out of recycled materials.

Competition was extremely tough so it was a huge achievement to reach the semi finals in the Helix and then to go on to the grand final. Amina performed her routine in front of 7,000 people in the 3arena and did a brilliant job. Well done to the girls on this fantastic achievement and to their class teacher Ms. Lawlor for all her hard work on this project.  You can view some of the pictures of their design entry on the gallery page of this website.
