    Meet Vanessa Swaine, our Home School Community Liaison 

At CBS Westland Row, we know that supporting our students means working closely with their families. As the Home School Community Liaison (HSCL) teacher, my job is to help build a strong partnership between home and school, so that every student can do their best.

What I do as the HSCL Teacher

My role is to maintain strong communication between families and the school. I work with parents, teachers, and students to make sure everyone feels supported. I’m here to answer questions, offer advice, and help parents get involved in their child’s education. Whether it’s helping with school transitions or handling challenges, I’m here to support families every step of the way. I also make it a priority to visit the families of all 1st year students at home to connect and understand how best to support the student's learning.

How I Can Support Your Family

I’m available to meet with families, visit homes, and organize workshops. If there’s something you’re worried about, I’m here to listen and help find solutions. Together, we can create a safe and welcoming environment for all students, helping them succeed and feel happy at school.
